Fifteen years ago, upon becoming a member of the European Union, Malta also became the first member state to successfully work on a legislation on remote gaming. Since then, Malta never looked back and businesses have been settling in Malta as it became the perfect hub for local and foreign workers who want to expand their knowledge and skills within this sector. This made the iGaming sector in Malta the key player for the Maltese economy and will keep on being so as it keeps on growing year after year.

In fact, according to the Malta Gaming Authority, the number of local and overseas licensees under a Maltese gaming legislation, keep increasing consistently year-on-year. This will ensure that Malta remains a centre of excellence, both as a gaming jurisdiction and as a dynamic economic hub for iGaming and its services.

A testimony to the ever-growing iGaming sector in Malta is the latest edition of ICE London that was organised in February. During this event which is the world’s biggest gaming technology event, our small island had the highest number of exhibitors following the United Kingdom; the organiser of the event that welcomes the major gaming players from around the globe.

Fairwinds Management Limited together with its brand, iGaming License Malta, visited this event to continue support the gaming industry. Apart from this, we will be also once again exhibiting during SiGMA 2019 later in the year to further promote this ever-growing sector that impacts positively the Maltese economy.
